Description

Connect. Collaborate. Be Inspired.

Join BWiC for the next installment of our Casual Conversations with Powerful Women in Construction series.

These sessions feature some of the most influential women shaping the commercial construction industry today. Hear their stories of success and struggle—the intentional moves and the unexpected turns. They’ll share their heroes, hurdles, missed chances, and bold reimaginings, plus a few of the things that steal too much of their time.

It’s real talk with real leaders. And we promise—it’ll be worth your time.

We are pleased to welcome: Erin R. McCabe, Chief of Real Estate and Transit-Oriented Development for the MBTA, and Shaunna Jammal, Deputy Chief of Contract Services, MBTA

Erin R. McCabe serves as the Chief of Real Estate and Transit Oriented Development for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), leading the agency’s real estate strategy, development initiatives, and revenue‑generating programs. She oversees efforts to maximize the MBTA’s portfolio, manage property transactions, and advance partnerships that support both operational needs and long‑term infrastructure goals. Erin collaborates with internal teams, public agencies, municipalities, and private developers to advance projects that enhance transit access, activate underused property, and strengthen the MBTA’s financial position. Her work focuses on aligning real estate planning with the agency’s mission to deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable transportation.

Prior to joining the MBTA, Erin served as the Vice President of Real Estate at Berklee College of Music and as the Director of Real Estate and Facilities at Lesley University. She brings more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience and is a licensed Certified General Appraiser. Erin earned her undergraduate degree from Providence College and her MBA from Northeastern University.
